The urology clinic and outpatient department at the Rechts der Isar University Hospital in Munich is one of the most prestigious urology departments in the south of Germany, boasting specialists with extensive expertise across the entire range of urology treatment options. Dr. Michael Straub, Managing Senior Physician, is Head of Endourology and the Urinary Stone Center. Due to his many years of clinical and scientific work in the area of urinary stone therapy, including as a longstanding member of the Guidelines Panel in both the German Society of Urology (DGU) and European Association of Urology (EAU), Dr. Straub is considered one of the foremost experts in his field both nationally and internationally. Dr. Straub is a proven specialist, having performed countless procedures using rigid and flexible ureteroscopy. He also played a key role in further developing the techniques and equipment for flexible URS.
