News from Asia Richard Wolf Greater China was delighted to hold the annual Sales Meeting between September 4 and 7, 2018. This year’s Sales Meeting took place in Xian – the "living history book" of China. Located between rivers and mountains the provincial capital is also known as the city of "Everlasting Peace". Xian – birthplace of Chinese civilization As the capital city of 13 imperial dynasties, Xian is known as the birthplace of Chinese civilization, where many ancient struc- tures have been preserved. It was a great pleasure to have some time accompanying the local distributors to explore the long and vibrant history of Xian, including the very impressive Terracotta Warriors, an internationally renowned symbol of Chinese history. Regional reports and success stories Our meeting began with the main topics of strategy and outlook, service overview and sales review in the Greater China region. Regional reports and recommended application sets were presented by the sales team. Towards the end of the meeting, some distributors were delighted to share their individual stories of success with the other participants. While the complexities of regulatory compliance mean that uncertainty is to be expected fromtime to time, our long-term view and the strength of our diverse distribution network in the region have us well positioned to address these challenges. Once again the Sales Meeting was a great success and we would like to pass on our deepest thanks to everyone who helped and participated in this amazing event.
