News from Europe Following the first International Marcom (Marketing Commu- nication) Strategy Meeting in 2017, Richard Wolf invited dele- gates to the RichardWolf Prima Vista Academy – located at the company‘s headquarter in Knittlingen – for the second such event, this time taking place from July 17 to 19, 2018. While only the USA had been represented at the first mee- ting in 2017, this second occasion gave Richard Wolf the opportunity to welcome new colleagues from China, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. The event set out to establish ways in which the Richard Wolf brand should position itself globally, examine the company‘s mar- kets with their specific and – importantly – differing needs, and, finally, outline a shared strategy for defining how Richard Wolf presents itself to the world. Discussions and presentations on the campaigns conducted by different countries and the various strategies being pur- sued were also a key element of the meeting. Beside all that, the real highlight was the official unveiling of the new Richard Wolf website and app, plus the resulting country-specific applications. In addition, there was a presentation on the International Marcom Strategy Meeting Article by || Christian Obermeier new virtual reality concept that is now available to use at trade fairs and conferences in any country. This techno- logy was presented for the first time at MEDICA 2018 in Düsseldorf.
