News from Europe In March 2018, the Altonaer Strasse outpatients clinic (TKA) in Hamburg – a Richard Wolf reference center for gyneco- logy – moved into new premises within the city. Based on its new riverside location it also adopted a different name: Frauenklinik an der Elbe. Impressive architectures Directly located on the banks of the river "Elbe", the clinic is now situated across two floors in Hamburg‘s architecturally striking Deichtorcenter. Spanning approximately 2,500 m², it has been developed into a generous space with state-of- the-art features. From the welcoming reception area right through to the sto- rage room, every single area of the clinic has been carefully designed to serve its purpose as effectively as possible. Equipped with latest technology The surgical area which is accommodating six ultra-modern operating rooms that are lodging the latest generation of Richard Wolf equipment is the centerpiece of the clinic. Additionally, two operating rooms are equipped with the innovative core nova OR integration system and large 55" wall monitors. These allow to stream the video signal directly from the action into meeting rooms within the clinic for events such as workshops. Live broadcast from the OR This feature was given its first outing at the Gynecological Endoscopy Working Group (AGE) conference on April 26 to 28, 2018 – just a short time after the clinic‘s official opening. The surgeries taking place in the new facilities were directly strea- med into the auditorium of Hamburg‘s Radisson Blu hotel. Through the Frauenklinik an der Elbe, Richard Wolf is now benefiting from an exceptionally innovative reference cen- ter for gynecology that will enable the company to showcase the latest endoscopy technology to prospective customers from Germany and abroad.
