CystoscopyCystoscopy is indicated in small animals suffering from chronic cystitis, pathological urine or micturition disorders, congenital or acquired deformations as well as in the case of x-ray findings. For cystoscopy in small animals two compact endoscopes are available. The instruments with outside diameters of 3.5 mm und 5.5 mm have 2 irrigation stopcocks and a large instrument channel of 1.65 mm / 2.3 mm for using flexible biopsy and grasping forceps. The oval irrgation and probe channel allows efficient irrgation. The Compact Endoscopes have a direction of view of 25° and a working length of 160 mm or 225 mm. The atraumatic distal end allows gentle passage in the urethra. As a result of the compact system no sheaths can be connected to also use the instrument in rhinoscopy (cats), tracheoscopy or vaginoscopy. |
