The PiezoSon 300 is a mobile, extracorporeal shock-wave therapy unit for all orthopaedic ESWT indications. The heart of the unit is the Wolf piezo power source. The integrated in-line ultrasound probe can be rotated and adjusted along its axis to allow precise localization for therapy. Direct contact between the ultrasound probe and the patient's skin guarantees optimum visualization of the therapy zone. The therapy is performed under real-time control. An electronic reticle displays the therapy focus in the ultrasound image.The multi-joint articulated arm allows individual adjustment for all treatment positions with the patient lying or sitting.The control and display unit is mounted on the articulated arm and can be rotated. Buttons for locking/releasing the brake system and for membrane coupling are integrated ergonomically in the handle of the therapy source.The dome of the coupling membrane can be regulated to adjust the depth of penetration between 0 mm and 60 mm.

In-line ultrasound location

The in-line ultrasound probe integrated in the piezo shock wave source allows simple and precise localization of the area to be treated. It can be rotated and adjusted along its axis. The direct skin contact during axial adjustment of the ultrasound probe avoids multiple reflections and provides maximum resolution and first-class image quality – WOLF patent "axial in-line" adjustment of the ultrasound probe.
