Technic of Illumination and DocumentationIllumination of the Object AreaThe illumination of the objects mostly are to be made through glass fibers. This glass fibers are inbuild in the light transmitting cables, the light guides, as well as the rigid borescopes, the flexible fiberscopes and also in the videoscopes. Common this illumination is called Cold Light Illumination although cold light isn't exist. But the reason will be that on the tip of the borescopes, the emitting point of the light who illuminate the object area will be relatively cold. NEW are two LED light sources, a LED light handle for direct connection on rigid scopes and a small and light weight but bright LED light source. The advantages of LED light sources are a very long life time mostly much more than 10,000 hours and a higher colour temperature near daylight. More Info With only a few exceptions the light is generated externally in a light projector. These light projectors, often also called light sources, are equipped with commercially available halogen reflector lamps. A build-in cooling fan dissipates the heat from the light source. For large working distances or very dark hollow spaces (matt black inner surfaces) in most cases xenon arc-lamp light sources are used which generate a brightness exceeding the halogen light sources by several magnitudes. Xenon light projectors, however, require a more sophisticated electronic circuity. For this reason xenon light projectors are about 3 to 4 times more expensive than halogen light sources. To determine whether halogen light sources are still sufficient and when xenon light projectors should be used, simply call our application advisor who will determine your requirements on the spot. He will visit you on your premises and will demonstrate the devices. Very few endoscopes still have an incandescent lamp at their tip to provide illumination. These are called warm-light endoscopes. Documentation of Endo PicturesAll our endoscopes, whether rigid or flexible, are fully suitable for deocumentation purposes. There are 2 options of documanting the endoscopic image: 1. Taking photos using a digital photo camera 2. Recording images or videos via a video camera Ad 1. For this option we use camera technology offered by the commercial market. Digital cameras are becoming ever smaller and lighter which makes it perticularly difficult for us to find a suitable camera. The optimum solution has proven to be the digital mirror reflex camera because all objective lenses have a filter thread making it easy to connect our endoscopes to the camera with a suitable adapter. Ad 2. We offer optimal endoscopic video cameras which directly connect to the endoscopes via so-called C-mount objective lenses (incl. adapter). In this case there is no trimming of the image because these C-mount objective lenses have a fixed focal length and are optimally matched to the cameras and endoscopes. For image documentation all devices of the commercial market lend themselves: Digital image memory (USB or other storage media) analog or digital video recorders, direct transmission of the video signal to a PC or laptop with all storage options provided by the installed software, via a so-called frame-grabber, converting the analog video signal into a digital video signal.
