Inspection equipment:

The endoscopic quality inspection of castings are since many years a widespread inspection technic at many companies.
Simple-geometry castings can be well inspected using rigid borescopes (robust, high image quality, low cost). They are typically used in combination with video camera systems and monitors. For documentation purposes, retrofitting with a digital documentation systems or suitable digital cameras is possible at any time.

Elastoscopes are excellent means for inspecting curved cavities of castings because they are abrasion-resistant and insensitive to buckling.

Castings having more complex geometries are inspected using either flexible endoscopes/Fiberscopes (less expensive and easier to manoeuvre) or videoscopes (higher resolutions, ideally suited for documentation). They are protected by a 4-layer shaft and exterior a high-quality tungsten braid sheathing to withstand the high loads involved.

We also offer UV endoscopes for use in dye-penetrant testing. Let us advise you.
