We asked ourselves how we could make a successful instrument like our existing
flexible fibre cystoscope even better. The answer was quite simple: by implanting a video chip into it. A video chip brings users key quality advantages in endo imaging.
As using a video chip means image transmitting fibres are no longer needed, the unwelcome pixelation of the image is eliminated. As a result, the so-called Moiré effect no longer occurs.
It is no longer necessary to focus the endo image, because the video chip always delivers a uniformly sharply focussed picture.
The overall weight of the instrument is much reduced because there is no eyepiece or camera head, and handling is markedly enhanced as a result.
The new flexible video urethro-cystoscope from RICHARD WOLF is the only video-cystoscope with a genuine atraumatic tip of just 9.8 Fr. The instrument can therefore be quickly and easily inserted, your patients will be grateful for that.

A video chip placed inside the tip produces a brilliant, consistently
sharp focussed endo image such as has never been achieved before,
with no pixelation or Moiré effect. It also transfers an unusually
large and natural circular image onto the user's monitor.

To fix the tip to a given angle, the instrument features a brake operated by a toggle lever on the control lever.
