Richard Wolf presents the smallest hybrid resectoscope in the market

Knittlingen, September 2009. – Richard Wolf, one of the leading global suppliers of endoscopes and endoscopic systems, presents “The Princess” – the smallest hybrid resectoscope in the market. The external diameter only measures 7 mm. This permits very fine and precise dissection supported by a high-resolution 12° PANOVIEW telescope. These features mean that the instrument is ideal for use in the stenotic cervical canal where it can result in much lower levels of trauma. It can also be optimized for use in patients with fertility and sterility problems. Princess stands for Petit Resectoscope including E-line & Saline System. The inflow and outflow channels have been optimized and offer outstanding irrigation properties.
When hysteroscopy is performed with “The PRINCESS”, the pressure within the uterus can be kept particularly low on account of the significantly reduced space requirement. This leads to less liquid consumption and loss. The E-line snap-on connector allows individual components to be connected and released automatically. The option of an additional inner and outer sheath allows “The Princess” to be expanded to 8 mm, in order to facilitate the use of bigger loops if the results of the findings are larger.
